Ipswich has had soccer in its history as far back to the late 1800s – one of the oldest in Queensland. The Knights were formed in 1998 from two older clubs, the Coalstars and St. Helens United. Both clubs can trace their roots back to the late 1880s and early 1900s. The Knights are, at their essence, part of a time honoured Ipswich tradition.
Sponsorship of the Ipswich Knights Football Club assists in reducing the cost of registration for junior players. This provides a number of benefits to both the participants and the community as a whole. Sponsorship helps with sports participation while giving young football enthusiasts a fantastic competitive outlet. Sport is beneficial to health, establishing life-long discipline geared toward wellness.
